I was in severe pain and knew I had a kidney stone. After hours doctor gave me medication to help with the pain until the morning.
I rang Craigavon and they said the would ring my own GP, who contacted me to say that I was going to get a call from Daisy Hill.
They called me to say could I be up at the urgent care centre. I was seen to immediately I had all my checks done - eg bloods, urine, blood pressure - and then they arranged a scan, which I was more than delighted with.
They were able to give me the good news that through the night with the pain I passed the stone. I was seen to by Dr Elliot, who was a gentleman.
Hayden - HCA - did all my checks, he had a really relaxed mannerism which helped calm me down. The original phone call was from Kathy who was so helpful and explained everything well.
I find urgent care centre in Daisy Hill absolutely fantastic and just what we need, rather than sitting in A&E. Urgent care centre, long may it continue. Very vital to the community.
