From the outside Stracathro Hospital looks like a step back in time to the 1940s but once inside the surgical unit there is no mistaking the modern services and care.
From greeting at the reception to discharge later the same day I was treated respectfully and kept informed by all levels of staff as to what was happening, having my questions answered and needs cared for. All staff were friendly, helpful, calm and efficient.
The surgery went smoothly and I was pleasantly surprised at the lack of discomfort and pain that I had expected. I was discharged a few hours later feeling well.
My thanks to all staff who made the procedure so problem-free. Your work is valuable and appreciated.
