Anything else?
Visited my GP with a small lump that had started to itch. Told it was a form of skin cancer, strongly suspected it was. GP made appointment with hospital. 4+ weeks later I get a Choose and Book letter. The Choose and Book site is down so I cannot Choose and Book. Ring the phone number. Get an appointment 8 weeks in the future. Then find out that the appointment is for the hospital to take a look and diagnose. Isn't that what the GP did? So after 12 weeks I will be in exactly the same situation as I am now. If hospitals do not want people to go to them first then LISTEN to the GP's and stop duplicating effort. As things now stand an unwanted visit to the hospital would have saved a lot of time and advanced things. I am presently sat with an itchy lump, knowing damn fine what it is and knowing that nothing at all is going to happen for weeks even though a GP has done a good diagnosis, that Lister seem to find it best to treat with disbelief.
