About: Chorley & South Ribble Hospital

Anything else?

My husband and i wish to express our gratitude to a Physiotherapist at Chorley and District General Hospital. He treated my husband for 9 months after he had sustained a Rotor Cuff Injury to his left shoulder in June of 2012. The injury was too bad for surgery. My husband was at rock bottom when we first met them, with little hope of him regaining much use of his left arm. From day one of meeting them, we were both filled with hope and encouragement. We found them to be an exceptional person and very dedicated to his occupation. It was only because of his motivation and encouragement and obvious delight in my husband's progress at each visit, that made my husband try his best to carry out the intensive exercises that he was asked to do, till his next visit. My husband at 73 years of age, has other disabilities, which really needed him to be able to use his arm and hand to have some quality of life. He is now able to carry on doing small DIY jobs and potter in his workshop, which keeps him happy. Thankyou for not giving up on a 73year old.

Thanks for your comments. Hearing about positive experiences really motivates our staff, and helps us identify where we’re getting things right so we can share good practice across all of our services.
