My husband had emergency surgery in February 2013 and was very ill with a blocked and twisted bowel. He was released from our local hospital in March and seen daily by the community nurses who packed and dressed his three abdominal wounds. We had previously booked a summer holiday in N America but this had to be cancelled but we hoped to be able to take our 2 week stay in Keswick in May.
This was only possible because our GP asked the Mary Hewitson Cottage Hospital in Keswick to take over his daily care.
This they did with the most professional and caring attention.
We couldn't fault them and are so grateful for all the loving concern they showed us during our holiday.
