I came to the Podiatry Department looking for help with problems with my big toe. The help I received from the podiatrists and consultants was nothing short of outstanding. 6 weeks ago I had an operation on my big toe to correct the problem. During my short (half a day) stay in Wansbeck Hospital, in the podiatry department, I was treated with dignity, respect and a human touch which gave me confidence in the department, and calmed me down at a time when I was feeling very nervous. I would like to give special thanks to the staff podiatrist, and my consultant, who were happy to answer all my questions, did their jobs brilliantly, and gave me the confidence to have the operation. I'm 6 weeks post op, and very happy I had the operation. Should I need he operation on my other foot, I know who I'll want to do it. Thanks very much to all in the Wansbeck Podiatry Department for all your help, you have made a huge difference in my life.
