Anything else?
After recent bad TV reports about emergency departments I would like to comment on our recent experience. My father was admitted to Oldham A & E on a Saturday evening after suffering a heart attack. I would like to say how wonderful all staff were during the whole of his stay. He was treated upon arrival and monitored and checked constantly by various doctors and nurses who were all very professional but caring and friendly. He was later transferred to a bed in AMU where again all staff were extremely helpful and caring. They were always busy but my father received fantastic treatment from them at all times and they made his stay as pleasant as it possibly could be in hospital. 3 days later he was transferred to Fairfield Hospital for surgery on his heart. Again the treatment he received there was excellent. He had his own room and wonderful nurses caring for him which reassured him very much. When I visited him there all staff were so understanding and helpful with me as I was very concerned about him, They couldn't do enough to help me and my father and I'm so grateful to them all. My father had surgery and later told me how wonderful the surgeon and all nurses who treated him were during the proceedure and we can't thank you all enough. It is a month ago now and my father is making wonderful progress and starting a rehab prog at Royal Oldham. May i take this opportunity of thanking everyone invloved in his treatment and care
"A massive thank you to all doctors and nurses....."
