What I liked
my husband was admitted to the medical assessment ward. visiting him, no-one asks who i am or offers any imformation. nothing appears to be happening and no-one will give us any imformation. there is a bank of tables occupied by medical staff, but no indication who one should approach and no-one looks like they want to be disturbed. requests to nurses for imformation are met with a response that they will find out and let us know. they do not reappear.
What could be improved
a member of staff could be allocated to each patient who can co-ordinate what is happening and tell relatives, and the patient, what is going on. at the very least one member of staff could be indicated as the person to approach for help.
