Anything else?
Hi, I attended for a routine lung operation which was successful but I had complications during my recovery that led me me to having a heart attack. I awoke in ICU where I was looked after by several absolutely wonderful people during my stay, I then moved back on to Ward 26 and later transferred to Ward 28. I would like to thank everyone involved from start to finish and from Volunteers to Senior Medics for the wonderful care I received. I will have to return soon for further attention to my heart, and would point out the following " criticisms" if I may. Although my treatment was first class from a medical point of view as a patient I thought the Patient line TV service a disgrace in both cost and content and it felt like robbing the sick! Also as I come from Staffordshire I found the Arriva Ambulance Liasion Team very unhelpful, with basically a " not my problem how you get home" attitude. Thankfully your Discharge lounge ( a great idea) managed to get me home via WRVS but this should not have had to be the case,as I believe we are still a National Health Service , not a County one!
"Routine OP went pear shaped!"
