It’s keeping me safe – just doing what it’s supposed to do. That’s all.
Things are more organised than they used to be. It feels like two groups of people here – depression and schizophrenia. I’d like to be quiet and on my own but there’s so much noise and disruption from those people seeing and hearing things and it doesn't help me to be around them. It would be better to separate by diagnosis.
You could also improve the food – tasteless and chips like rubber, vegetables like water, awful.
You could also improve understanding of eating disorders among staff.
They do need to improve communication and discuss in advance when you’re going to see people not just say ‘now’ or then not turn up.
And about it being unhelpful, it is wrong to put those needing quiet, calm atmosphere and environment with those who are loud and shouting because they’re seeing and hearing things because of their illness.
We have very different needs.
