from entering the skiddaw day ward at 8am for small operation(keyhole) on left knee after five years of 24-7 mediocre pain ..i was pleasantly surprised at the level of care and respect recieved from the over worked staff at nhs hospitals..cleanliness, politeness, and just damn right friendliness from all staff concerned, i was worried ..yes worried ..about being put to sleep ...about the operation...about being in hospital ...they,re brilliant staff..from the ward to theatre , i just felt that they were there to fettle me up and thats what they were going to do ...and thats what they,ve done..well done and thanks ..its a thumbs up for the so called ..."second hospital in cumbria" from me.... whitehaven you were bang on ....
