I had an RTA in 2007 leaving me with nerve damage and constant nerve pain in one arm. My treatment gives me partial relief for up to 6 weeks but can only be administered every six months. I have ongoing discussions with the clinic to get treatment at my convenience (not the clinics convenience). This has and is proving to be more and more difficult to achieve. I have managed one such co-incidence in 5 years as a patient. On one occasion the clinic discharged me without consulting me as I had gone 6 months without treatment. and I had to go through the lengthy process of being referred again by my GP. That situation appears to have now been resolved if I pass this 6 month period. Apparently, powers outside this clinic can cancel clinics if they are under-utilized. This is not putting patients at the top of their priorities. If this were a commercial organization they would be bankrupt as customers would not tolerate this and would go elsewhere. We the "customers" have no such choice. I have written to the Chief Executive expressing my concerns. Staffs at the Clinic do a sterling job considering the external constraints.
