Years ago I had a problem with my thyroid that made me feel really ill with bulging eyes, goitre and very run down.
I attended the endocrine clinic at Wonford and they gave me treatment and put me on thyroxine 50mic. That was in 2006.
I have had my life back, been in good health, doing all the activities I couldn't do before. The treatment I received was second to none. I had to attend the clinic for two years after for follow-ups and found kindness, cleanliness and all you could wish for.
However, I now have a problem. After two years of follow up treatment I was then in the control of my GP. From the day of my treatment I felt like a new woman, healthy, fit and full of life. However, a year ago, because my bloods were normal my GP reduced my thyroxine by half. I am now have a lump growing in my throat again, eyes sore and catching everything going.
I seem to be banging my head against a brick wall and am putting this on here in hopes that someone will read this and give me some advice.
