Anything else?
From initial diagnosis through surgery and hospitalisation to final discharge I met with nothing but professionalism, efficiency, and caring understanding. I do not believe that I could have received better treatment from all I met. Surgeons, nurses, porters and ward staff - all were courteous, helpful and understanding and a credit to the JR.
Two particular aspects of my case are worth emphasising. First the interval between initial diagnosis and actual treatment was extremely short. This was very reassuring as it minimised any period of anxiety on my part. The second aspect was the close attention given to reducing the risk of infection before the operation by the provision of antibacterial body wash and nasal spray.
I have, of course , expressed my thanks to those directly responsible but I wanted you to know how very fortunate we are to have such a great hospital available to us.
