Anything else?
I needed an urgent prescription and, being away from home, I telephoned and was advised by NHS 111 to go to the walk in centre at St George's Hospital today, 25th March 2013. After parking and paying the extorniate fee I waited for about 20 mins and explained to the person on duty that I needed an emergency prescription, only to be told that there is no walk in centre at that hospital! I was given a leaflet directing me to Parson's Green NHS WIC. Another journey and another car parking charge but low and behold they do not have a GP or anyone authorised to issue prescriptions. I was told to visit Charing Cross! What a fiasco. I thought better of it and telephoned my own (but distant) GP who faxed my prescription to a local pharmacy and the job was done. Now why didn't I do that at the beginning and save myself all the trouble, time and expense! You live and learn.
It is time, as an earlier reviewer has said, that the information is updated and correctly given.
"No walk in centre"
