Thank you for taking the time to give TRAQS some feedback following your recent referral.

I am sorry to hear that you feel the new process is slow compared to the old one. TRAQS has been developed to provide local patients a Choice of provider as we are able to offer a Choice of hospital for an NHS appointment anywhere within England, sometimes there are available NHS appointments at local private hospitals. The old process meant that generally the referral was sent to a local hospital and in due course the patient received an appointment which they were expected to attend. Choice was not an option.

Unfortunately TRAQS are unable to contact the patient until we have received the information from the GP practice. Depending upon which practice you are registered with this may take a few days to reach us.

We always encourage patients to contact the TRAQS team if they feel they have been waiting longer than they expected for us to contact them to arrange an appointment. To ensure we are able to contact patients in a timely manner we ask that patients provide up to date phone numbers to the practice staff as our intial contact is always by phone.

Thank you again for taking the time to give us feedback as we appreciate all comments from patients which helps us to develop the service further.
