"Stroke Unit"

About: Royal Berkshire Hospital

Anything else?

I suffered a stroke at the age of 57. But if you're going to have one there is no better place than the Stroke Unit at RBH.

They have an outstanding team who exercise you mentally and physically and thanks to them I have made a full recovery and can enjoy life to the full.

The Home Care team were also fantastic and followed the good start I made in hospital, with attentive home visits

I cannot fault any aspect of my care other than in my case there was a link between Stroke and Depression, which I believe is quite common, so some warning would have been good.

Luckily for me Reading has the excellent Prospect Park hosptal and they put the mental side right as well.
