"Outpatient visit"

Anything else?

Clinical staff very impressive. Very clear and helpful, open and up to date.

Conservative treatment recommended but I had a strong impression that if anything untoward was detected action would be speedy.

I received excellent information including stuff that made perfect sense but that I'd not come across before. Certainly treated with respect and given all the time necessary during the appointment and examination. Particularly impressed by lifestyle discussion and impact that that might be having on symptoms.

Needed a specialist scan and had one at UCH within 20 mins which saved me a separate trip to London.

The managerial side needs a bit of attention, particularly the queueing system and the time it takes to book in or book the next appointment. Additionally staff seem to have to routinely 'over book' which may lead to delays and begs a question regarding resources.

Minor point if you have to pay for medicines the pharmacy doesn't take cards for some reason so bring cash.

PS I had to change an appointment and that was easy to do.

Response from Royal National Throat, Nose & Ear Hospital

Thank you for your feedback regarding the RNTNEH. We are extremely please that you had a good experience and hope that you will chose us again in the future if you require any further treatment. We are currently in the process of re-designing our outpatients department and this will hopefully include an information screen to keep patients informed of waiting times as well as a re-designed checking in system to improve the queue system currently in place. We are also looking into the possibility of using telephone clinics to follow up those patients who do not necessarily need to make the journey to the hospital.
