My partner had been pleased to be given an appointment to see a doctor. After a considerable period waiting for a date to attend hospital, we arrived to find no parking at the hospital no parking in streets nearby & the only car park available on the heath closed for resurfacing. she had been told that there would be a wait involved at the hospital, however what transpired was she was told of a 3.5-4 hour wait ! this is close to insanity.how on earth can any person be expected to wait half a day in a hall without enough seating for all instructed to attend. In addition, the paid for parking bays close by are only available for 2 hour periods before you have to move your vehicle. This must be a demonstrable lack of care & consideration on the part of the hospital for those patients who are required to suffer these conditions. how does a queue become 4 hours long by 9 o'clock. With a wait for the day,is it impossible to arrange a set number of appointments so as not to subject obviously discomfited patients to further significant discomfort & indignity, not to mention the considerable cost of parking if found at all,or 6 bus journeys in total there & back. Whilst understanding the need for queues to manage time & costs there must be a more humane & considerate way of treating your clients. Please. severely challenged by this visit. your normal levels of care by health professionals have been great otherwise thanks.
