"Heart condition"

About: Worcestershire Royal Hospital

Anything else?

I had to rush my husband into A&E 4 times in 2 months due to heart condtition. He was told by nursing staff each time that he would be operated on and given stents (which should have had - but had been cancelled by the hospital earlier and told to wait another month!!!), After spending 1 - 2 days in hospital on each visit because he was so bad and nurses saying he will be operated on each time he was admitted, only to be told each time by the doctor in charge, to go home and wait for his appointment as the hospital was too busy to deal with him!!

I feel they were constantly playing with his life by constantly sending him home - so does his local doctor (who used to be a cardiac specialist!). This constant denial each time put more strain on his heart than was neccesssary! When he finally got to have his op', they tried a second time to cancell it - which we had to venamently refuse before they finally did it!

We have been told by staff at the hospital that they are over-run through hospital closures in the area, nursing home closures (as they now have no-where to send convelesing and old patients who carn't be sent home!) Sounds like our hospitals will soon become old peoples homes!!

Since then (last week), i have now had my hysterectomy cancelled due to the same excuses - 10 operating theatres empty and staff being paid to do nothing because they have no beds for any normal operations to be done!!

This is absolutly rediculous!!! What am i paying National Insurance for?? If i had the choice i would not pay NI, i would put it towards private cover insteat - that way i may at least get a op' when my life depended on it!!
