"Highly recommend this hospital"

About: Spire Leeds Hospital

Anything else?

My 7 year old son had a tonsillectomy at Spire Leeds Hospital in January 2012. I was very nervous as he hadn't had any surgery before. The consultant ENT surgeon and the consultant anaesthetist both visited us on the ward before the operation. We found this very reassuring as they were friendly and kind as well as professional.

The children's nurses were equally kind - they even gave my son a bravery certificate and toy elephant when he was discharged. I stayed at the hospital overnight with him, and both the nursing and catering staff ensured we were comfortable and had everything we needed.

The hospital was clean and we had our own private room which was very much appreciated.

All in all - despite surgery being an anxious time for all concerned, both my son and I were glad that he had his operation at Spire Leeds.
