"My son's care in the community"

About: Lancashire & South Cumbria NHS Foundation Trust The Walton Centre NHS Foundation Trust

(as a relative),

My son is a severe epileptic who also suffers post-ictal psychosis after seizures. In West Lancashire he has been under the care of the Mental Health Support Team in Skelmersdale and Ormskirk Scarisbrick Unit. He also receives care from The Walton Centre, Liverpool. His care over the years when he has been psychotic is to leave him to run around the streets in this state and more often to be arrested by the police. If he has been lucky enough to get to A&E he is usually discharged. This is the care in the community that my son receives and it is disgraceful.
