"Terrible outpatients booking service at UCLH"

I have had numerous problems with the central outpatients appointment booking service at University College London Hospital over the last year or so. I have booked appointments only to be later told by another administrator that they had been incorrectly entered on the computer and were no longer booked.

I phoned on three occasions to remind them to book a scan which had been requested by a hospital doctor, but they still had not managed to book it by the time I went back to that doctor months later.

A few weeks ago I had an appointment at a different outpatient clinic (booked just before Christmas when the consultant requested to see me again in three months time). When I turned up for my appointment I found that the clinic had been cancelled that day, several weeks before, but no one had bothered to contact me. Also, my husband had taken the afternoon off from work to accompany me to the appointment. They had not rebooked the cancelled appointment and so offered me one at the end of the waiting list in a few months time.
