"mothers treatment"

About: St George's Hospital (Tooting) (London)

Anything else?

My elderly mother has been treated at St Georges Hospital as an inpatient and an outpatient over the last ten years.

Her admissions in the last two years have been very positive with great nursing care, good discharge planning and physiotherapy and occupational therapy support. She was treated with respect and dignity.

On her last admission she even had a manicure in the hospital. The first time at the age of 90 year.

My mother had surgery on her back in 2007. She was discharged too quickly after surgery to a nursing home with a hospital acquired infection and ended up being admitted again for 8 weeks.

Our experience has been that you have improved a lot in the last five years.

Many thanks for the last two years

I have seen presentations about emergency care practitioners working with the elderly. Sometimes there is no option other than calling an ambulance and being taken to hospital, when at times she could have been stabilised at home and not required an

admission.
