Anything else?
As the grandmother of this 15 year old I was astonished that
a; they could not give a diagnosis
b; the doctor took an age to consult his superior
c; there was no M.R.I. scan done when a C.T. scan was negative
d; when the R.V.I. was contacted and staff were told to transfer urgently why did it take 5 hours for the transfer
My granddaughter is now on the neurology ward having been diagnosed with M.S. I know that this would have happened regardless but what effect did that 5 hour delay have on the treatment and diagnosis?
I am horrified that my daughter was told that there were more important emergencies, there may have been but this was a girl of 15 with a query stroke.
Get your act together Wansbeck. I am horrified that this is the wau patients are treated, I am not just saying this because it was my relation it could happen to any child. Staff would not give permission for her to be transfered by private car.
Please do not be condisending and quote hospital policy and procedures to me. Been there done that
"15 year old girl ? stroke/ cause"
