About: Peterborough City Hospital

Anything else?

After my surgery I had additional problems that came under the urology dept, they said that they would call me in for a trial or trials but I have had no contact from them and this should have happened in November 2012. I am still having problems which I will have to live with because I cannot trust the medical staff and will not allow doctors at this hospital to touch me.

Response from Angela Burrows, Comm Development Officer, Peterborough LINk

Peterborough LINk would always advise patients and carers who have concerns to contact the hospital as soon as possible and try and resolve the issue/s.

There are a number of internal and external options available and the hospital will provide full information on these processes.

Please note:

Following the Health and Social Care Act 2012 – Local Involvement Networks (LINks) will be abolished and replaced by Local Healthwatch on April 1st 2013.

Peterborough LINk is trying to ensure the seamless transition from LINk to Healthwatch.

Local Healthwatch will be set up as local champions of the public, patients, carers and service users – for all NHS health and all social care services (adults and children). Peterborough Healthwatch will not be a statutory body, but will retain all the statutory involvement, engagement, monitoring and influencing roles that LINks have at the moment and will have a major role in influencing the commissioning of health and social care services.
