"Very pleased with podiatry care"

After visiting the Podiatrist I was very pleased at the care, treatment and advice that was given. I was not looking forward to this visit as in my 70 years I had not visited this type of department and was a little embarrassed regarding the condition of my feet and the past operations that had left slight deformities.

I was soon put at my ease and a problem that I had been experiencing and unable to correct was soon diagnosed and treated. It had become rather painful and shoes had been a difficult to fit correctly due to the problem.

I am now walking much better with hardly any pain, only a little discomfort after a long walk, but this is gradually improving by acting on advice given and being patient and methodical in continuing with the self treatment and exercise.

I think there is to be a follow up and I hope that the two people who attended to me (Johanna and Deborah) will be pleased with my efforts and the improvement.

“Thank you for leaving this feedback. It is quite normal for our patients to feel embarrassed before their first appointment, therefore part of the role of a Podiatrist is to reassure and help the patient feel relaxed. I'm glad you found this to be the case. It is also really important for patients to recognise the role they play in looking after themselves and I'm glad you are able to keep to the exercises and self treatment as this will aid your improvement.

I have passed on your thanks to the staff involved and hope your feet continue to improve.
