"How bad does it need to be before they help my boyfriend at Rotherham A&E"

About: Rotherham Hospital / Trauma and orthopaedics

(as a friend),

I think it is disgusting how rotherham hospital staff treated my boyfriend the other day. He has got arthritis in both his knees and they have swollen 2x there normal size. He struggles to work n get up every morning. We went to A&E for them to help, waited 4 an a half hours, only for them to tell us that they wont help him because they are not that bad enough. i want to know, how bad does it need to be before they will help!

Thank you for posting your opinion.

We are sorry that you felt you had a poor experience when attending our A&E department, and that the care you received was not as you were expecting, that is not what we ever intend.

We take all complaints seriously and are constantly looking to improve the patient experience. Should you wish to discuss this further please contact Mrs Rose Davis, A&E Matron who will be happy to look into your concerns in more detail and to learn from your experience.
