"Thank you to the amazing midwives"

I had a troubled pregnancy but had my mind put at ease every time I went on to ward 10 by the midwives at Royal Glamorgan Hospital.

There were several midwives which stood out to me and Kath was one who was amazing. She was pregnant at the same time and was so understanding and we ended up having our little ones a few days apart :)

The main reason for writting this story is my experience during my labour when I went on to the labour ward the evening staff were still in, and I had my waters broken and my care was taken over by a lovely bubbly and above all friendly midwife named Rachel.

She was full of confidence in me giving natural birth, even if me and my mother wasn't, after being in slow labour for so long: ) I was gutted that I hadn't had my little girl while she was on duty as I was dreading having a midwife that wasn't like her and then in walks Anna.What an amazing midwife, she was so bubbly and had me, my partner and my mother in stitches.

When the time came to deliver my little girl she talked me through everything, and when my daughter was born with difficulty breathing, and had to be taken to icu, she was there for me and went over to check on her while I wasn't able to.

When I left the labour ward she told me she would be over later to see how I was doing and she kept her word.

I can't thank Kath Rachel and Anna enough for what they done for me and I hope that when I have another baby they'll still be around. An amazing credit to the hospital and midwifery! X
