"Disgraceful."

About: Arrowe Park Hospital

What I liked

Eventually they are getting you scanned within the hour or at least they managed it this time instead of the next day as it was in July 2012. About time.

What could be improved

If you suffer a stroke insist the ambulance does not take you to Arrowe Park. I am absolutely serious. You stand a much better chance of survival if you are not in Arrowe Park stroke ward. If the ambulance refuse to take you to another hospital get a taxi, bus, neighbours car, crawl if need be. Do yourself a favour and if it can possibly be avoided do not go to the stroke ward at Arrowe Park.

Anything else?

Staff need to be told patients are ill. That does not mean they are a a pain. I heard some nurses calling patients a pain if they asked for something or needed something. It wasn't just one nurse it was a number of them. It wasn't just one or two patients. It seems to some nurses any patient is a pain if the nurse has to do something. One of the nurses I heard calling a patient a pain was the nurse in charge of the ward. Disgraceful.
