"hospital appointment at chase farm"

About: Chase Farm Hospital / Urology

(as the patient),

Firstly I received 2 letters, 1 informing me to go to clinic 1 clock tower main building and 2nd to go to urology dept. Luckily enough I got there early to suss out which department it should be. I arrived at Urology 5 minutes early for my appointment on an afternoon in late November to be informed the clinic was running an hour late. Other members of the public said this was due to a meeting.

After approx another 40 minute wait, the business manager came down to inform us the clinic was cancelled as the consultants child was ill and nobody could look after her. We were also informed we would be seen the following week. Well it's now nearly 3 weeks later and I still haven't heard.

I have chased the situation up once and the lady that answered the phone was very helpful. However because the secretary works part time, the lady had to take my number and get back to me a couple of days later, which she did, to say it is being dealt with and yet still nothing.

So my first impressions are not good at all.

As an organisation we are committed from learning from specific issues and from any mistakes we have made. Hearing about where we can do better helps us to pinpoint where exactly to make improvements to the service we provide. The Trust apologies for the poor experience that you had in our urology outpatients.
