"Thank you Dr B. Miller & Mr Hobbis"

About: Royal Bolton Hospital

(as the patient),

I was attended the Outpatients clinic at the Royal Bolton hospital with abdominal pains in August of last year. I was less than impressed with the experience - the nursing care was distinctly poor. As a patient, I felt like I was treated as another case, and not as a person. There was little dignity or respect.

I would however, like to thank Dr B. Miller (pain team consultant) and Mr Hobbis (gastro consultant surgeon), who were exceptions in that they were very good and did seem to care.

We will let Mr Hobbiss and Dr Miller know that you found them to be so caring - thank you for letting us know. We're sorry that on the other hand you were not happy with the nursing care. We will raise this on your behalf with the staff concerned.
