"TRAC referral system error caused worry and anxiety"

I was told by my GP I would hear within two weeks- after a month I phoned the referral services myself to be told there was an error with my referral so it had been sent back to my GP. No-one informed me so I was waiting and waiting. I was only given one choice of appointment when my referral was finally sorted out and this was the only date and time available.

There were no apologies from the referral team and I feel they could have informed me of the error so I could phone my GP and get it sorted sooner. Due to the error I have has to have a longer delay before being seen causing more worry and making me anxious.
