"My experience of a rude receptionist"

About: Central Lancashire PCT

(as the patient),

I phone for an appointment no one answers phone. I go round to my GPs to ask for an appointment the receptionist sighs as if I am an inconvenience. I get told no appointments this week fully booked. No appointments next week fully booked. I am then left with no choice but to tell receptionist at desk what is wrong and other patients hear. Receptionist says Doctor won't see you with that she is too busy. I say forget it and start to walk out. receptionist is shouting across surgery at me in an argumentative way as I am leaving. I stand just outside door where I can't be seen and listen in to hear receptionist laughing and saying to another patient in room, including another member of staff and saying, if that patient (me) complains I will have them struck off our list!

I think that was disgusting behaviour!

It's unacceptable that NHS Central Lancashire care trust say they can't investigate GPs that are private, even through NHS employ them to treat NHS patients.
