What I liked

The reception staff at the angio clinic was my saving grace. They were the kindest person ever and I thank them for this. More people like this needed in the NHS.

I am now going privately.

What could be improved

I had reason to phone the Cardiology department as the consultant had not given me enough (or any) information about what was wrong with me. The secretaries are the rudest and most abrasive people I have ever encounted in the NHS. I was left in tears after being spoken to so badly. This caused more stress than I was already under considering I had a heart problem.

I was told my letter would be sent so I would then know what was wrong with me. As it is 4 days since it should have been sent and I have not received it I rang again and the person was just as short with me.

Who do these secretaries think they are treating patients this way.

I will be taking this further once I have completed my treatment.
