"Lack of care"

About: Lincolnshire Partnership NHS Foundation Trust / Adult mental health

(as the patient),

The crisis team and someone from the recovery team came to see me several days ago because my Social worker/support worker is worried about my state of mind.

I was not sure about them helping me, but after 30 minutes of them arguing, and trying to change my mind I said yes, to there support. They said they would be back that night at 7pm. They never showed, or rang, or been in touch since. I have hurt myself many times over the last two weeks, one seriously and I have not eaten in over a week. I feel I need help I am not safe. I have a Complex Personality Disorder, I also hear Voices, suffer Hallucinations, self-harm, and live under a self punishment system. I have become worse over the last year, and over the last three months my mind is falling apart. I feel not enough is being done to help me, so I am not eating till I get real help.

Firstly we want to say how concerned we are about you, having read the posting you have sent in to Patient Opinion. It’s important that you urgently talk to someone about how you are feeling at the moment. It sounds like you have a support worker who you are in contact with or you can contact your GP.

You raise some serious issues about your care in the posting which needs clarifying. To address these issues in detail, it might be better for you to make a formal complaint if you have not already done so. Then we can address your concerns about the crisis team and also we can talk to you about how we as a Trust provide an appropriate service for all your needs. From a trust point of view we are dedicated to meeting the needs of all our patients, and working with patients to find a way forward.

We are sorry we are unable to comment more specifically about your posting in any more details, we hope to talk to you about this in the future.
