"Not way to get in touch for profoundly deaf patients"

Both these hospitals do not have facilities to enable profoundly deaf patients to contact them. This matter has been raised again and again but to no avail.
They repeatedly send out communications to deaf patients with no means for them to get in contact. All the letters give you is a phone number and tell you to telephone! D’uh! When someone else rings in on your behalf, they do not like to speak to the person assisting. They are told the patient is deaf and are met with “we have no fax/email” or whatever.
When you look on the website to be able to contact them, you cannot. Only has telephone numbers. This is outrageous. The Trust is not taking this matter seriously. I have many deaf friends who are disillusioned, not offered interpreters routinely but have to nag and nag. On the website they tell you can get the information translated into different languages but Sign Language is not included.
It seems, if you are deaf, “So What! ”
