What I liked
I was very nervous about my first ever fairly major surgical operation at Medway, which is located in a not too salubrious part of Kent- I need not have worried-
The whole procedure went like well planned military operation- The staff were all great, and the consultants and doctors communicative and quick to inform.
Even the food was pretty good, altho I was feeling too ill to eat much.
What could be improved
I had to wait on the ward seven hours to go home (blocking a bed in the meantime) waiting for my meds to come up from the pharmacy- I even offered to go and get them myself....
Lights were very bright on the recovery ward, perhaps Raybans should be provided on the NHS...
Anything else?
I am not a big fan of the NHS and wished I could have gone privately but have to say that the care at Medway could not have been better- I am nearly a convert to the NHS now....
"Could not be faulted apart from slow pharmacy drug..."
