I am trying to access health information on NHS Lothian's website but I am being excluded because I do not wish to accept 'cookies' on my computer. The message is:
"Welcome. This site uses Google Analytics to provide us with information about your visit. In order for Google Analytics to work a cookie must be placed on your computer/device. More information about cookies can be found at www.aboutcookies.org. To continue to use this website you must give us your consent to place a cookie on your computer/device."
"Do you consent? YES"
It seems that NHS Lothian's idea of consent is that I have to say 'yes' or be excluded from information. I have checked NHS Glasgow's website and I can use their website without accepting 'cookies' although they explain that some website features may not be available. Full marks for being patient friendly to NHS Glasgow, zero marks to NHS Lothian.
