"Help of the community resource team has made life worth living again"

About: Clinical & rehabilitation services / Community resource team

(as a carer),

My husband has had Parkinson's for many years, together with severe arthritis. He has had two hip replacements and the tendons in his shoulders have snapped so he has limited strength in his arms.

Although we have had many problems, in recent years my back has been particularly painful and I have constant sciatica. Coping has become very difficult, particularly with sleep deprivation. This year, for the first time I felt alone and unsupported as well as depressed.

Our doctor put us in touch with the Community Resource Team, particularly Grahame Young. His efficient, caring and focussed work has helped to make life worth living again. Long may he stay!
