What I liked
Diagnosed with base of the tongue cancer some six months ago and spending the majority of that time either visiting for treatment or staying in Torbay hospital fighting this disease I have nothing but praise for the way my treatment was approached.
From the oncologist team, radiologist department, the Macmillan nurses and to all the doctors and nurses on the Turner ward the treatment both medically and personal was first class throughout, full credit and a big thank you to all these people for the job they do day in and day out.
I would recommend this hospital and it's staff for the professional service they give.
The outcome of my treatment N.E.D. (No Evidence of Disease). Happy days!
What could be improved
Maybe under staffed on the wards at times, the majority of the nurses don't stop to draw breath.
Anything else?
After being diagnosed I was apprehensive and just a little bit frightened (a lot really) but my treatment team always made me feel at ease.
"Treated with the utmost respect at all times."
