What I liked
The ward (2c) was spotless and my bed was changed everyday over the 2 week period i was on the ward. The staff are exceptional and nothing is too much trouble. I was having difficulty sleeping at night due to a very loud snoring womanin the bed next to me. I asked if there was any possibility that i could be moved and the next day i was moved into another bay and as a result of that, met some wonderful, warm and friendly patients, one of whom i still stay in contact with. The meals are a bit monotenous and there seems to be a vast ammount of bread involved in every meal! Handy for the ducks that pass by the window on a daily basis though! Once i was well enough i went over to Booths and purchased some 'normal' food to keep me going until i was discharged. I cannot praise the staff and the sisters in charge enough! They are worth more than their weight in gold easily. All in all i was very well looked after.
What could be improved
The receptionist on Ward 2a,b,c. They have no people skills and i felt like an inconvenience when i asked for advice on where i needed to be for admission. I dont imagine you will print this part but i am saying it anyways. i suggest some training in the subject of dealing with the public and customer relations as there is a serious lack of both these qualities. i almost felt like an inconvenience!
Anything else?
I felt very well looked after and cared for during my two weeks stay and cannot fault the nursing staff of the ward. Fatastic
"The nursing staff are second to none and i am..."
