"Given wrong information"

About: Hackenthorpe Medical Centre

(as the patient),

I recently underwent blood tests at the surgery as I was told by the hospital that I was anaemic.

I rang for the results as requested and was told by the receptionist that every thing was in order and normal. Approx 10 days later I visited the hospital again and was told that I am anaemic and I am now undergoing further investigation for this involving a colonoscopy and a gastroscopy.

I feel the procedure whereby the receptionists give out medical information should be reviewed.

Dear Gardener.

Im sorry to hear that you feel our service is not as good as it could be. We are always interested in feedback to ensure our policies and protocols are working well and if they are not we will strive to improve where we can.

To ensure we can learn from this experience, we would be grateful if you could contact the surgery and supply your name and address so we can look into the circumstances surrounding this matter and examine where it went wrong. I hope you can find the time to contact us soon.

Thanks

Angela Powell

Practice Manager
