What I liked
I am impressed that the staff at the nursing station allowed me to speak to my housemate on their phone as she had lost hers, and also at the information I was given.
What could be improved
I am disgusted by the way my housemate was discharged from the hospital. As she had taken a deliberate overdose in an attempt to kill herself, to discharge her when she was severely intoxicated under the influence of medication prescribed by the staff on that ward in my opinion was despicable. I think it is absolutely diabolical that authoritive figures allowed her to make her own way home, without organising transport or notifying anybody that she was discharged, especially under the circumstances.
Anything else?
If my complaint is not dealt with within the next 28 days I will be seeking legal advice because if something was to have happened to my housemate, for instance someone to take advantage of her in that situation, she would have been none the wiser and unable to protect or defend herself.
"Unprofessional and neglectful."
