"Time wasting"

About: Manchester Royal Eye Hospital

Anything else?

My partner and I visited the Emergency Eye Centre in March after my partner developed Iritis. It took 4 hours to be seen the first time and he was given some eye drops and asked to return in one week for an appointment at 15:00. Believe it or not the 4 hours we waited was a short amount of time compared to some. One elderly gentleman had been waiting 7 hours and had not even been offered anything to eat.

On the day of the appointment he waited three hours to be seen for a booked clinic appointment. How can that be possible? If the department is that busy or short staffed then don't arrange clinic appointments that they fail to keep. I hope to never deal with this department again.
