"Once into A&E, the Doctor and Staff were excellent..."

About: Queen's Hospital (Romford)

What I liked

I conveyed my wife to the Accident and Emergency Unit at Queens Hospital, Romford on Thursday 5th January 2012 at about 1-30pm, because she was having difficulty with her breathing due to a lung virus and continual coughing.

On arrival we had to wait for a lengthy period of time in the Waiting Area until we were called into A&E and from that point onwards she along with the Nursing Staff assigned to her, took care of her in the most comforting, reassuring and compassionate fashion.

My wife was immediately started on a nebula, followed by a further three of the same and in between both the Dr and the Nurses continually called at her cubicle to make sure she was in no distress. They were in our opinion dedicated, hard-working and most of all reassuring and caring.

My wife was kept in over-night in Medical Assessment Unit 'B' and they too I am advised by her were equally matchless in their treatment and supportiveness, during the whole of that night

We both thank you most sincerely for all the care you all took.

What could be improved

My only tiny comment I would like to make here is that confounded Waiting Area of A&E at Queens Hospital, which can be nothing short of disgraceful and an embarrassment to the Medical Authorities at that particular Hospital. Definately an area which needs looking at and readjusting.

Anything else?

None
