1. While you were in hospital did you get your Parkinson's medication on time?
Most of the time
2. Tell us about your experiences of getting your Parkinson's medication when you needed it while you were in hospital. Did staff understand the importance of getting it on time? Did they talk about it? Did you have to mention it first?
My daughter informed the staff and they were happy for me to self medicate. I am not sure that I would have got it on time had I not been able to self-medicate.
3. Tell us you experiences of being able to manage your own Parkinson's medication in hospital.
I made sure I had enough medication, set the alarm on my mobile phone for the appropriate times and took my medication as close to the allotted time given that I had to have a general anaesthetic.
4. Tell us if you have any other comments about your stay in hospital.
Everyone was very kind and understanding. The consultant seemed impressed that I was very well medicated regarding my Parkinson's.
