What I liked
I had a Elbow replacement in February 2010. It is almost nearly a year on, and i am so impressed with the outcome, i hardly can see the scar. I am going in in February this year to have a new shoulder, i think the staff, and everyone concerned are so nice, made me feel very calm and explained things fully. It is the best hospital i have been i think. If my shoulder is as good as my elbow i will be more than pleased..Recovery time is the main thing, but as for the actual surgery, i had pain control and hardly needed to use it. I know from the roadside the hospital looks a bit old, but i would go there any day for surgery, i feel so confident. Well impressed..
What could be improved
I dont think, there was any thing that could be improved, everyone was so nice, nurses, doctors, all staff i had contact with.
Anything else?
The only thing i would say, is its a shame its built on hills, as disabled people with walking difficulties find it very hard to get around in the buildings...but maybe when the new one is built, will be better...Its up and down, as from the outpatients to the pre assesment unit is on a slope, have a rail but a bit hard...
"Have no hesitation of going back there again,..."
