Over the last 2 years I have experienced care, efficiency and medical excellence both for my mum and myself. My mum collapsed at home and was taken by the paramedics straight to A&E and then eventually to a cardiac ward. The staff were amazing and medically she was offered a pacemaker which halted her death. Age was no barrier. A few weeks later she passed away in her home and at peace.
Just over 12 months ago I passed out in the street as a result of a diabetic hypoglycaemic attack. Again I was treated professionally and with care. The work of the occupational therapists was so helpful and now I have full movement of my right wrist and are despite such a bad fracture. As a diabetic I have been given first class attention from Dr Philip Coates and am now on a waiting list for an islet transplant in Oxford Hospital.
PLEASE give us back our 24 hour A&E. We need you!!
