"Why are PALs not available to take my complaint? "

About: Cambridgeshire and Peterborough NHS Foundation Trust / Adult mental health

(as a service user),

I have been under treatment for mental health issues for over 20 years. I am very unhappy with my consultant and wish to make a complaint / request they are sacked to the PALs service.

I have rung them and no one has answered, I simply get a message saying that they wuill be back in touch in 2 days.

I find this unacceptable.

First of all thank you for your feedback, all feedback is important to us and we would really like the chance to address your concerns. The PALS service has a lot of demands placed on it, and although we try very hard to give each person the attention they need, we do on accession need to rely on the answer machine. That said, you rightly point out that the message regarding getting back to callers in two days is not very helpful and as a result of your feedback this has been changed. I really would value having the opportunity to speak with you directly. Please do call again we really would like to talk with you about your concerns. Alternatively you can email PALS at: pals@cpft.nhs.uk
